In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb

March “comes in like a lion, out like a lamb, ” according to the popular proverb. The age old adage inspires this wonderful art activity for preschool and elementary children. Naturally Dyed Eggs Tutorial

With springtime’s arrival, we welcome the season of rebirth and renewal by dying Easter eggs. There are so many ways to decorate, dye, and paint eggs online, but I prefer this more rustic approach. I try to avoid using artificial dyes in my home, particularly when food is involved.   Great Learning Moments I also think dying eggs with natural ingredients provides a valuable lesson to children and adults alike about how our ancestors discovered the earth-toned pigments in everyday...

Matisse Goldfish Collages

To begin this lesson, we discussed the French painter and collage artist, Henri Matisse. The paper cutting, overlapping, and layering techniques of collage were reviewed. Then we looked at Matisse’s painting, Goldfish, which represents one of his reoccurring subjects.  We...

The Epsom salts, baking soda, and sea salts in this recipe work to naturally draw the toxins out of your skin. The magnesium sulfate of the Epsom salts is also easily absorbed by your skin, which reduces magnesium deficiency, thus increasing mood, reducing fatigue, and minimizing muscle cramps. Detoxing bath salts are a...
