Matisse Goldfish Collages

I recently had the opportunity to teach one of my favorite art lessons, Matisse Goldfish Collages, at Sweetwater Center for the Arts. This class was taught to children aged 4-6, but this lesson would be appropriate for older kids as well. To begin this lesson, we discussed the French painter and collage artist, Henri Matisse. The paper cutting, overlapping, and layering techniques of collage were reviewed.
